This person, who brandish his PHD as a proof of his knowledge of singing, and takes an Englishman's arrogance, is really hiding his name. His real is David Flory. Why is he not using his name? The world is full of PHD full of themselves. Remember

David Flory as St Austell
In his recent post on tenor Mario Filippeschi, this man had the cheek to write that Lauri-Volpi used to call Filippeschi "the king of tenors" without quoting the source of this statement which is -needless to say- both totally false and preposterous. In the third edition of his book "Voci parallele" (Bologna, Bongiovanni, 1977, p. 136) Lauri-Volpi limited himself to write: "Today, in the year of grace 1977, Filippeschi would be the king of tenors". This is a tongue-in-cheek expression: Lauri-Volpi meant to say: today, given the mediocre level of tenor singing, (compared to the Golden Age to which Lauri-Volpi belonged by right) a Filippeschi would be the king of tenors.
